These pics were taken in Guadalupe, CA at a beach that is part of a preserve.... its fairly remote but gorgeous!!

It was very cold this day and the waves were about 20 feet but it was AWESOME!!!

My grandson loved it even though he was a little scared.... hopefully when we go back in May he will want to play in the water and the sand!!

Sunday Morning.... JT and Peppermint

this is my adorable grandson, JT. I took him to see my horse and he loved her!! she didnt know what to think but she got used to him and followed him around like a puppy dog!!

peppermint is almost 15 years old and i have had her since she was 7 months old.... she is a sweetheart and loved the attention from JT.
JT loves tractors, trucks and airplanes. this is him standing next to a riding lawnmower..... he called it "my tractor". Of course, the horse ended up being "my horse" but it was a blast having him out with me..... i told him he can ride the horse this summer. This is what life is all about..... FAMILY! JT only has one grama, and thats me, so we try to make the best of it and have fun, too!!!

it was cold but it sure was pretty, i grew up in sandy so it was nice to go see the old stompin grounds!!

In Memory of Violet Pearl Smith Ashford

This beautiful lady is my 92 year old grama. Sadly, she passed away on Oct. 17, 2009. She was a beautiful lady both inside and out and never had a bad word to say about anyone.

She loved her family and always had a hug and kiss for everyone!! whether she knew them or not!
My mom and grama were very close and now they are together again...... my mom passed in Oct. of 2007.

You will be greatly missed grama and will always be loved!!

The Fence

i have never done a chainlink fence before but it turned out great and looks as good or better than the professionally installed fences!!

here are the pictures of the chainlink fence that me and my awesome nephew,kyle, put up in the yard.

setting the posts was the most dificult part of the job because of digging holes, pouring cement and making sure the posts are straight ind level

Labor Day

Over Labor Day weekend, we went to Taft CA. to visit my son-in-law. Even though the trip was long, we had a great time and a very enjoyable visit with Karl. Here are a few pictures of our trip. ENJOY!!!!

24 th of July weekend

over the holiday weekend, my AWESOME nephew, brother and sis-n-law came down and we did some remodeling on the house. here are a few pics to entertain you!!

this was my first time setting tile, it was pretty fun but very time consuming.

i had to prepare the floor before the tile could go down and it was very hot that day!!

jt loves to be outside and insists on playing in the middle of the dogs when they are WUFF housing!!! he gets bulldozed every once in a while but keeps right on playing!!
